Who we've helped so far
The Recovery and Growth Programme is aimed at assisting eligible businesses that are seeking to grow, adapt, diversify or expand their current operation to support their long-term sustainability. Since launching, the programme has successfully helped many local businesses to realise their ambitions and grow. They have shared their story here.

“The Market Co, with the help of the Recovery & Growth grant, are now able to create two new jobs which will facilitate a new and enhanced revenue stream from both our online shop, Artisans Online (https://themarketco.co.uk/) and our in person events.
Due to vastly reduced income during the last two years of Covid we would have been unable to fund this project without this support.
The application process, which has now been streamlined and improved, is straight forward with short turnaround times. The on-hand support from the recovery team has been brilliant and instilled confidence and offered guidance whenever required.
I would urge any business who has not yet looked at this grant to do so - it’s an opportunity to help rebuild or improve your company”

"The Recovery and Growth grant has allowed us to purchase a high-powered laser to build a new income stream treating acute pain in a cost-effective manner. We have also added more Strength and Conditioning modalities to allow us to adhere to government led initiatives on ensuring that Musculoskeletal Strength and Power becomes a key pillar in everyday health fitness. This should allow us to increase our clinic capacity and, in this regard, and we are due to advertise a vacancy for an additional therapist.
The main part of the £25k award has allowed us to install solar energy systems at both local clinics to help save energy costs and fulfil our CTC Healthcare’s commitment to climate change initiatives.
The support that I received through the process, from an initial phone call to completing a successful application was pivotal in having the confidence to invest in our future . The whole process was completed in 10 days !

Improve our service offering with new equipment
The Recovery and Growth Program grant has allowed us to improve our service offering with equipment purchases.
This will provide the people of Cheshire with a (CQC) regulated skin lesion diagnosis and removal service in a local, convenient hospital-grade environment.

Key to progressing our diversification plans and establishing new product ranges as part of a new income stream via e-commerce
The Recovery and Growth grant has been key to us progressing our diversification plans and establishing new product ranges as part of a new income stream via e-commerce. It has enabled us to invest in new hardware and software to extend the range of our designs more efficiently. We have also been able to adapt our internal workspace to accommodate new work processes, equipment and stock, by building new internal partitions and acquiring storage racking and furniture. New extraction systems have also been installed to improve air quality and ventilation in work areas, in preparation for recruiting more staff.
Communication from the Recovery and Growth team was excellent throughout, with regular updates via the application system and more detailed advice by ‘phone. Once my application was finalised, I received a decision within 24 hours and the grant came through just 6 days later.
I’m confident that ongoing support from the team will also be helpful as we continue to develop our product range, customer base and manufacturing team.

Workspace expansion and improved safety

Many thanks for the grant. With our Workspace expansion project - we have been able to adapt our space, enabling us to get work through more fluently. This enables us to fulfil the deadlines we have, and ensures safety for our team with improved ventilation.

"The grant has enabled us to expand our product range and relocate to a larger premises. Previously, we were busy running a successful cake designing service and looking to be expand, but due to covid, we were finding it difficult to finance all the costs to enable us to move into the larger premises we desperately needed.
The recovery and regrowth grant has provided that additional support to purchase equipment and support some of costs to do so.
We now have more space to increase our production and provide a cafe patisserie table service. We have also been able to create additional jobs for local people"
